Management Analyst

Core Responsibilities

• GIS

  • Maintain and update GIS data to ensure accuracy and reliability for integration with the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system.

  • Implement current GIS best practices to enhance mapping and location-based services for emergency response.

  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify GIS data needs and develop strategies for data collection and maintenance.

  • Provide technical support and training to staff members on GIS applications and tools.

  • Utilize GIS databases to produce a variety of computerized maps, graphic maps, diagrams, exhibits, displays, reports, data extracts, statistics, and other data for use by departments and other public agencies.

  • Coordinates with the San Diego Regional Public Safety Geodatabase project to maintain an accurate street database and pre-plans for countywide use.

• Data & Analytics

  • Extract, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights for operational and strategic decision-making.

  • Develop and generate reports, dashboards, and visualizations to track performance metrics, response data, and key performance indicators.

  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to facilitate informed operational and financial decisions.

  • Collaborate with other teams to develop data-driven solutions to organizational challenges.
