Celebrating 20 Years of Service: Congratulations, Alexis!

FCS Alexis Sanchez at the Salute to Local Heroes Awards dinner

Heartland Communications Facility Authority (HCFA) is proud to celebrate Shift Supervisor Alexis Sanchez for 20 years of dedicated service in 9-1-1 dispatch and her selection as a recipient of the La Mesa Chamber of Commerce’s Salute to Local Heroes recognition. Since beginning her 9-1-1 career in 2006 and becoming a Shift Supervisor in 2013, Alexis has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to her team and the communities HCFA serves. This recognition marks another proud moment for HCFA, following previous honorees Kim Gonzales, Shannon Hays, and Kyle Gaut.

Alexis’s impact reaches far beyond her years of service. Known for her compassion, dependability, and generous spirit, she consistently puts her coworkers first—working holidays so others can spend time with family, covering vacant shifts, celebrating team milestones, and ensuring colleagues working on Thanksgiving and Christmas have a meal to share. She also brings steady leadership and reassurance to some of the most challenging moments in emergency communications, guiding her team through complex emergencies, mass-casualty incidents, and active vegetation fires. Alexis’s willingness to step up whenever her team needs her reflects the heart of a true leader. She may not be able to handle anything spicy, but she certainly brings the heat when it comes to caring for her people!

HCFA is grateful to have Alexis as part of its leadership team and proud to see her dedication recognized by the La Mesa Chamber of Commerce. Her selection as a Salute to Local Heroes honoree reflects the compassion, sacrifice, and consistency she has brought to her work over the past two decades. Please join us in congratulating Alexis on this well-deserved recognition and celebrating 20 years of service, leadership, and heart. Thank you, Alexis, for the lasting difference you make for your team and the communities we serve!
