Dispatcher Kyle G Receives La Mesa Salute to Heroes Honor
Each year, for the past three years, HCFA has had the honor of recognizing a member of our team through the La Mesa Chamber of Commerce’s annual “Salute to Heroes” event. This special event celebrates the dedicated members of Heartland Fire and Rescue, the La Mesa Police Department, and AMR for their exceptional service to the community.
This year, we were proud to recognize FCD Kyle Gaut for his outstanding contributions to our organization. Kyle’s recognition was not tied to a single incident or event, but rather to the culmination of his many accomplishments during his first year as a fully qualified FCD with HCFA.
Over the past year, Kyle consistently stepped up to support his peers by filling short-notice vacancies and responding to mandated overtime assignments. He volunteered to participate in initiatives such as the Cloud Hosted CPE review and the ACE Accreditation Working Group, demonstrating his commitment to improving our operations. Kyle also took the initiative to request assignment as a Communications Training Officer, furthering his professional growth and our team’s development.
In addition, Kyle received numerous commendations from his Shift Supervisors for his exceptional work during vegetation and structure fires, as well as for his superior performance during periods of high activity.
These accomplishments, along with his dedication and professionalism, made Kyle an exemplary choice to represent our agency at this year’s “Salute to Heroes” event. Please join us in congratulating FCD Kyle Gaut on this well-deserved recognition!
