FCS Ortmeier and Executive Director Logan are ENPs!
Emergency Number Professionals (ENPs) are leaders in the 9-1-1 industry who help ensure emergency communications systems operate effectively, reliably, and in compliance with industry standards. Their expertise spans 9-1-1 operations, telecommunications technology, public safety answering points (PSAPs), emergency preparedness, and organizational management, helping communities receive timely and effective emergency response when it matters most.
To earn the ENP designation, candidates must have at least three years of experience in emergency communications or with a provider of emergency communications products and services. They must also meet eligibility requirements through a combination of experience, education, professional development, certifications, and industry involvement before passing a comprehensive examination covering 9-1-1 operations, telecommunications, information systems, legislation, and management.
The ENP certification, administered by the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) Institute, is recognized as one of the highest professional credentials in emergency communications. We are proud to recognize Shelby Ortmeier, Fire Communications Dispatcher, and Jeff Logan, Executive Director, for recently earning their ENP certifications. They are the first at HCFA to receive this certification! Great job Shelby and Jeff!
